This electron micrograph of a Radiolarian was taken by Dee Breger
of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Dee made two images of
this creature from two different angles and I had the job of aligning
and combining them into a single anaglyph for the web site of the
New York Hall of Science. Stereo micrographs pairs seem to come
with complex rotational errors and I have developed a way of
reorienting them that are a kind of Yoga for the eyes.
